Other projects
Pontoon Repair and Refurbishment
Repairs and refurbishment of Dock 3 consisting of 2 pontoons
The pontoons were rafted from SHW to East Arm to a site at Barge Express. Both pontoons were craned out and transported to the work site further up the yard
The pontoons were fully blasted inside and out and coated with the tender specified coatings
Welding repairs were carried out and the centre baffle in the gangway pontoon was raised by welding in a 300mm high flat plate
On completion of blasting and painting, the pontoons were transported back to the dock edge and craned into the water. The pontoons were then filled with fresh ballast water and levelled out.
